Hello to all members/readers,
may I introduce myself to this fine forum?
My name is Dr. Michael Brodhaecker; aged 46 and living in the "hinterland"-town of Lingen in northwestern Germany near the border to the Netherlands - in the middle of nowhere...
Occupation: Family manager and part-time historian at Münster University;
I am married and proudly fathered three children, aged from 11 to 5 yrs;
"She who must be obeyed" works as a gynaecologist at Lingen hospital and earns the money I shamelessly give away for "useless toys", as SHE always describes my modelling...
My modelling-"career" started at the age of 8 when my father (not knowing what he is about to start!) bought an Airfix Henschel HS 123 dive bomber...which I finished as "Red Baron´s mount" - every biplane must be WWI and being WWI it has to be connected to Manfred von Richthofen...n´est ce pas?
Today my modelling subjects are as diverse as life: From 1/24 to 1/144; everything prop-driven and exotic (e.g. "Beuteflugzeuge" or obscure aircraft like Primoz Bloudek here in the forum!); even the occasional tank has crossed my path then and now.
I hope I will be (technically spoken!) able to post pictures of my ham fisted attempts at modelling in the not too far future.
Wishing you all the best
Michael
